As we enter the summer of 2021, there's still a level of uncertainty concerning how Rotary will continue to provide those human connections Rotary members have appreciated in the past. Although the mantra of "hands-face-space" will certainly be commonplace in our organization, it's clear that trust is growing and that there is a greater number of face-to-face interactions. But Rotary has evolved. While we are moving through summer of 2021 and the uncertainty about whether Rotary will be able to give the same kind of connection which Rotary members enjoyed in years before continues. The motto "hands-in-space" is undoubtedly part of our routines It is clear that trust is rising and we are able to make more personal interactions. But Rotary is changing. Rotary's network creates relationships that last. The outbreak of the pandemic was the catalyst for us to adopt technology. The way we conduct our business has been redesigned to ensure that we have online meetings within our businesses, while reintroducing events for service and social in the face-to-face method. These new possibilities have been paired with the lessons we have learned from previous outbreaks to create a new outlook for Rotary. Recently, a Rotary survey found that 75% of the participants were planning business as usual activities. The article is in English. It's wonderful to learn that the Rotary support centre team provides important resources to assist with the development and maintenance of the infrastructure, keeping members and the general public secure. The need for insurance and compliance is equally important. The inventiveness and creativity of our members to find solutions to the most challenging challenges is astounding and I am so very happy that the chance to be a part of Rotary was given to me back in 2002.
