Nancy O'Dell started her career in the broadcast industry as an anchor at WPDE-TV, Myrtle Beach South Carolina. She later worked as the morning news anchor as well as a crime reporter for WCBD-TV. O'Dell's reporting on the lax police response towards DUI cases in Charleston resulted in an investigation being conducted by the State Law Enforcement Division, which led to a change in directive from state authorities regarding DUI cases. Ms. O'Dell was awarded the Best Report of the Media Award in South Carolina by the Associated Press. O'Dell later worked at the Miami-based NBC station WTVJ-TV as a investigative reporter, before she joined Access Hollywood in the role as a weekend anchor. In addition, she serves as a co-anchor on Dateline NBC and NBC News Today. She has co-hosted a variety of pre-shows and arrivals shows to The Emmys as well as The Golden Globe Awards. Other co-hosting credits include Miss USA, the Miss USA pageant, and Miss Universe.
